What do Nicotine Levels Mean?

The level of nicotine in an e-liquid is expressed in mg. People are sometimes a little confused because mg refers to the amount in each ml not the total amount included in the bottle.

The bigger the bottle, the more liquid you have, but the concentration of nicotine does not change. On occasion, nicotine strength will be labelled as a percentage.

What is 3mg Nicotine?

As discussed above, this indicates the strength of the liquid. 3mg refers to 3mg of nicotine per ml of liquid, regardless of how much liquid you have. This means the concentration does not change.

For example, a 10ml bottle will have 10mls of e-liquid. In ever ml there is 3mg of nicotine. In other words, there is 30mg of nicotine in the 10ml bottle.

This is the same for any other value of nicotine. If it is 6mg nicotine, every ml of e-liquid will contain 6mg of nicotine.
